All's quiet on the Home front

It has been a very quiet weekend.  God knows it was needed, after all the sadness and transition of this week.  I planted some more seeds.  I have to step it up a notch as Anna has a whole garden of growing plants in her window sill.  I just have lots of just started seeds and 5 pots of basil....one is for Angie and one is for Anna who know what I will do with the others.

I took some time and went through the bill basket and the old statements...burned the uneccesary items and reorganized the rest.  It makes me feel a little in control when I can organize my home and important items such as bills and statements.

I went to Cambridge on Saturday with Al and Anna and purchased a very cute, but expensive pair of glasses, that I will be sporting for the next 3 years!  It is going to take me that long to pay them off and that is with saving 300$.  I almost went with contacts, but I have dry eyes, bifocal, prone to sinus ailments and infections and am on breathing steroids...so not even sure that I would be a good canidate for them.

It is 7:20 and the sun is still up. This gives me hope.  Next weekend is forecast to be in the 50's and the family is coming up for a get together before our second son, Shaun and gf, Coley, head off to parts unknown for at least 6 months.  The sadness of Sonja's sudden passing this week, made me realize the importance of getting together with Loved ones more often too
make some memories...the kind we can hold on to when we hit the hard and sad times in our lives.

To my Family....I Love you, and Thank God, Almighty, that he has so Blessed me with each and everyone of you.

Not Spring break...Snow Day!!!

March 23, 2011 SnowDay!

Doesn't God have a sense of humor ?
Guess who packed up the sweaters and winter gear...yup, 4 days ago.
Then I woke up to snow day.
Works for me, I used the day to get some needed housework done

and some organizing and rearranging.

This is my new quiet space in our livingroom.
My new Ibanez guitar tucks perfectly in the awesome
table/desk that Tim & Anna designed and made.
I can't paint it till it gets warmer, so I covered it with a
golden-satin-material tapestry runner.
Isn't it a warm comferting space?

The chair faces the deck and sliding glass door, a great view of nature from here.

I Need a Girl's Day & I Need it Now!

It has been 7 weeks since My Mom moved in with us and We became primary care givers.  At the same time, My work changed to a new Semester.  As Beautiful Bella would say, "I'm don't really love my new Schedule".  My second job and all MY EXTRA spending money had to go the wayside for our new living arrangement.  Am I frustrated today, YOU BETTCHA!

I am simply not used to having someone back in my life dictating my every move...even my meals "I don't eat chicken" ... There is no space left and all over the house are junk foods and items we simply don't buy....Oreo cookies, frosted cake donuts, white bread, corn dogs, monster coborn's cookies....okay you get the idea.

But today was the topper! I was hoping to steal away with Angie for awhile while Al soaked up the grandgirls love and My mom sped off with Wynne.  My reprieve if you will.  But, not her fault, Angie got sick.  I hope she feels well soon cuz I miss her spunk!   I have been fighting a bacteria sinus infection myself as of late and not on my best game.

So, between Al and Mom, needing new cell phones, and Walmart items, well the afternoon got spent, and I got worn out, with out much of my agenda accomplished.

There were Some bright spots though:
Got Kate & Bella time...hugs and Kisses,
Saw all Angie's Super Cute decorating and got some idea's for myself
Spent some time with My Oldest and very fun Son, Scott, even tried out his new mystery bike
Got not one, but TWO Super cute shirts at Unique.

With all that aside, Mr Handsome & his younger Twin owe this CHIC and the Sick Chick a Girls get away weekend in the VERY Near Future....Right Angie?  can I get an AMEN?

Soon and Very Soon (end of March) we are going to have a girls weekend with a trip to the day spa, clinique make up spring bonus purchases, a ride on the light rail,  Mesa Pizza at uptown w/ wine! and whatever else we want to do.!!!!   Anna you are invited on this extravaganza too
