Spring ...Finally!

It's almsot April and even though there is still plenty of snow all over my yard, It is Spring. Finally!..the temps are a little warmer, Easter is this week, and my personal favorite...our new grandson Henry James Haggenmiller is here:)

Henry was born March 23, 2013 making his Birthday 3/23/13  cool, cool.  The little guy looks just like his dad, (Scott), looked like when he came into the world and into our hearts some 33 years ago.  This guys a charmer, when I show off his picture the first comment is always, "look at that hair"...his sisters, Bella and Kate, share that trait gorgeous thick dark hair.

When school resumes next week, it will be the last quarter of the school yr.  This means there is only 40 some school days left and then I will be on summer vacation...sweetness. I especailly love this because my guy, Al will then go on day shift and we can have a life again.

There has been a lot of changes in my life this last school year.  It started with my mom's passing only one week before school started.  Then I got reassigned to a different classroom and supervisor,(after 8 years).  Just as I got settled in, 2 students and 1 staff left, followed by we are now moving classrooms.
I guess God is teaching me the life lesson of "letting go" and "trusting Him"
This is so much better than my planning and winging it as we go, method that up till now I've employed...so here's to Spring and newness..let's soak it in to get thru the long winters ahead.

Spring Fever!

This girl has a bad case of Spring fever...I just want the outside temps to go above freezing and stay there.  I need to see living things again in my yard...not moving living things like animals and snakes! Living growning plant things like grass and leaves and flowers.

It is about time to organize my seeds and plan our garden and this always stirs up the cabin fever and restlessness of the winter dormantcy.

I'm missing my windows open and fresh air filling the whole house, mortorcycle rides, seeing love growing plants, long walks while enjoying God's beautiful creation...I want to go hiking, and camping, and traveling to new and delightful places...To pick fresh spring vegetables from our garden again.

I guess you got the idea I NEED SPRING!
Now what to do with myself in this state in only mid March?   Maybe we should take a short trip south to Missouri? hmmmmmmm......

For today I think I will, as Anna says, "reign in my Chi" and calm myself down.  Perhaps I will use this pent up restless energy to go to the gym and work my way into a smaller size and an appropriate more flattering swim suit!  well, maybe?
