Blessings can come thru raindrops, (like the song:)) or even in floods!

Recently, our sump pump failed & this left the entire basement flooded.  My craftroom was not spared.  The carpet was indoor/outdoor, but alas it had to go out to the deck anyway in order to dry and air out.

We are just now, weeks later, starting to put the things in our basement back in order.  Today as I sifted through treasured and nontreasured items alike, I realized this sad & frustrating event has caused me to rethink and take how I use my craft room.

As I sort thru items I realize there are many things that I simply hang on to (like excess baggage).  I also see now that this is an opportunity for me to really access and redesign this area to be more organized and efficiently used.

The idea then came to me (like a God's whisper), that Our lives are much like the craft room.  There are often sad or unpleasant events in our lives, but they can be used to make us better!  We do not need to hold on to excess baggage. God can use disappointments and hurting to make us compassionate and giving.  God can use despair to turn us to Him and walk in Faith.  If we are complete and confident, do we really have a need for hope?  No, we have hope when we are in need.

So next time you are feeling just a little down or discouraged with life's detour's and rocky road....remember God is in Control and makes all things possible In His time.  We may not see what He is doing...But He is doing...God loves you and so do I!
